Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from two little kids who despite the normal bedtime routine, are way too wound up for sleep. The only thing they wanted to do after their bath was to pretend they were Santa flying his sleigh and sing 'Rudolph' at the top of their lungs.

Graham is holding very tightly to those reigns!

I wonder how many times we'll be visiting Graham and Amelia tonight reminding them that Santa can't come until they are fast asleep?

Random Photo Dump!

In the interest of being caught up by Christmas, here are a bunch of random photo's. Enjoy! :)

The visit to Santa didn't start out very well. In case you can't tell, Amelia had a death grip on her Daddy. Then, because Santa is smart like that, he offered Miss Amelia a candy cane and everything changed in an instant....

In this case, a little bribery went a LOOONG way!

On our way to Grandma's annual Holiday Tea

Amelia doesn't go anywhere without her spunky shades

A spur of the moment puppet show staring "Graham and Amelia Puppets" lead to some very happy kids

Apparently, the puppets are very funny!

The puppet show encore

This giant brown box provided some serious entertainment! It was turned into everything from a McDonald's drive-thru to a rocket ship to the Great Sphinx (if you're confused about this one, I understand, I was too! But, Graham was insistent, so I went with it.)

Amelia spotted Daddy with the camera as she walked in with her class at the preschool Christmas concert

As luck would have it, Graham (first one on the right in the front row) was way to the right as he performed and Amelia was way to the left so it was impossible to get them in the same picture

Amelia performing - she is the fourth one in from the left in the front row

Coffee Shop Kids

I once again find myself way behind on the blog. We've been keeping very busy the past two weeks and have lots of fun holiday events to share-an annual holiday tea, a visit with Santa, a school Christmas concert, and the day to day general fun craziness that fills our house. Those events will have to wait for a later date though as I have a TON of pictures to sort through. In the meantime, here are a few pictures from our stop at the coffee shop after the preschool holiday concert this morning.

I say this all the time, but I can't get over how big Graham is getting. Here, he really could be any teenager lounging in this chair drinking coffee (or hot chocolate in this case). Even when the hot chocolate turns into coffee someday, he'll always be my little guy!

Deep in thought with a mouthful of hot chocolate. He clearly had no idea we were watching him!

Graham and Amelia definitely have their moments when loud screeching at each other is their communication method of choice, but as a whole, they really are great friends! Although I can't see Amelia's face here, I know that she's grinning. She and Graham crack each other up constantly!

They caught us spying on them!

Kindergarten Already???

How is it possible that this little guy was old enough to attend a kindergarten open house this morning??? It's time for us to make some decisions about where Graham will attend school next year and we're hoping he'll be attending a Spanish immersion school. It was impressive, to say the least today, to see all the students sucessfully functioning in a classroom taught 100% in Spanish! If Graham is lucky enough to get a spot at this school, from the first day of kindergarten, 100% of his school day will be in taught in Spanish with no translating at all. I think it's time for me to think about some Spanish classes of my own...

Big Kids

Yesterday, after our busy morning at the zoo, Graham and Amelia relaxed as they watched an episode of 'The Berenstain Bears' before their naps. The way the both flopped onto the floor and rested their chins in their hands caught me off guard. Babies don't sit like this, but big kids do. I'm LOVING the ages they're at (minus the Princess whining) and wish I could freeze time.
*This blog post was done with a very special friend in mind....you know who you are and I know you've been missing the frequent updates! :)

The princess who does it all...

This pretty much sums up Amelia these days...princess attire, high heels, and her baby...life is good!
